Newmor started in 1967 by John Morris and his sons Hugh and David. In 1972 Morland Decorative Panels was established to manufacture laminated sheet materials.

In 1987, Morland Profiles started to manufacture wrapped moulded MDF profiles, initially for use in the manufacture of furniture components in the touring caravan industry.

By 2001 the profile business was also providing finishing processes, such as drilling, routering and mitering. Supplying markets such as bedroom furniture manufacturers. Demand allowed a new 16,000 sq, foot factory to open dedicated to the joinery services. This became known as Morland Components.

The dedicated joinery services business was very popular with a both the leisure sector and the furniture sector so that in 2005 a further new 35,000 sq. foot factory was opened to accommodate the demand.

Today, Morland supplies 5,000 cubic metres of laminated panels and 1,000,000 metres of wrapped profiles every year. The grandsons of founder John Morris, Toby and James are hands on directors of the business alongside a professional management team.

The ethos of the business is to deliver world class product quality and customer service. Continual investment is made in the business to maintain the market leading position in quality, efficiency and service.
