Hardwood such as oak and ash have been popular for some time now.. All these hardwoods are difficult, if not impossible to source with any proof of sustainable forestry. The trees take decades to mature. In the case of teak all materail from Burma has been declared illegal such is the scale of deforestation in the region.

Morland offer wrapped architectural mouldings using paper foils or continuous pressure laminates (CPL) for the decorative finish. The quality of the finish on the CPL is  virtually indistinguishable from a real wood veneer and harder wearing.

The cost of the finished item is lower both in financial and environmental terms. Now to put the “icing on the cake” or the “polish on the wood” Morland has full sustainable timber chain of custody certification for their MDF profiles.

BM Trada has audited Morland and granted them certification for the purchase, processing, sales and distribution of FSC and PEFC certified timber products.
