Morland Take Responsibility
6th January 2010
A case study on how Morland took responsibility for delivering a complete solution to make fit out simple.
Thurston’s Building Systems have a high standing within the healthcare construction market for the quality of their build.
The internal timber performance door-set material supply package, they wanted to let was for a supplier to take on:
Scheduling of
· Door linings widths and door-set handings
· Architectural Ironmongery
· Door edge and leaf protection
Supply of
· Complete pre-finished performance door-set with all the associated edge protection and ironmongery
Thurstons wanted a supplier capable of delivering to this brief so that site simply installed a pre finished door set, with no complex joinery skills or time consuming processes required on site.
In 2009 Morland tendered and secured sites taking on the scheduling and delivered to site a factory controlled door-set. Elizabeth Addy, Materials and Purchasing Manager said “Morland’s attention to detail is first class, from challenging an inconsistency on some drawing information through to the finish and tolerances on the manufactured joinery they demonstrate quality control. Yet they are flexible in adjusting schedules and specifications to accommodate commercial requirements.”
Andrew Warren, Commercial Manager for Morland said “Morland are comfortable taking ownership of the whole package and managing all of the variables. Often door set fabricators price themselves out of the Architectural Ironmongery or only entertain the one size fits all approach. We don’t think like that and this allows our clients to place a package with all the incumbent liabilities with us, safe in the knowledge that Morland will deliver a quality product complete and on time.”
