Lightweight Furniture Ply
Morland produces lightweight furniture boards based on a plywood core. The panels look good, cut and machine cleanly with no break-out, are impact resistant, and do not add excess weight.
The poplar is sourced from forestry that is certified sustainable under the PEFC scheme. Morland operate a sustainable foresty “chain of custody” certification scheme so the timber can be traced to source.
We use ilomba-faced poplar plywood. Poplar plywood has a density of approximately 440 kg/m3, compared with around 600 kg/m3 for normal plywood.According to fueleconomy.gov, on average, every 100kg of weight in a vehicle reduces MPG by 4%. A full van fit can use five sheets so that is an extra 100kg if you do not use lightweight furniture ply.

Our stock range has eleven colours (Click on the colour below for a pop up high resolution image) , in 15mm thick furniture ply decorated both sides. We also offer 3mm thick boards decorated one side which are ideal for lining out vans, motorhomes, horseboxes, etc. We deliver across the UK with a minimum order qty of three sheets, or you can collect just one board.
