Composite Panels

Specific technical requirements for panel products are increasingly being addressed through the use of composite construction.  The need may be for weight-saving, greater water resistance, or increased insulation value.  With the ability to produce sandwich panels in a number of skin and core combinations, Morland can design and manufacture a panel to meet specified parameters.

Surface materials include decorative papers, PVCs, or reflective foils.  For tougher applications we can offer HPL or CPL.  These are usually laminated onto an external skin of thin plywood or particle board.

Core materials include EPS of varying densities or XPS for products requiring closer tolerances.  Where fixing points are needed we can incorporate suitable materials into the layup process.  Similarly cavities or channels can be designed in for uses such as cable management.  Many panels are designed to include external frames where a secondary operation e.g. edgebanding may require a certain surface.

All of our composite panels are manufactured with hot-melt PUR glue ensuring a highly durable cross-linked bond every time.
