Prefit Wainscot Panelling

The wainscot panel has its origins in the 17th century as a way of masking problems with rising damp. Today, it is a decorative feature that is popular, not just as the classic half timbered wall, but also as a ceiling detail. The wainscot panel is made from a tongue and groove profile with a ‘v’ joint detail. The ‘v’ is an old joinery trick. Where a joint is going to be visible it is better to make it a feature than for it to appear like a poor joint. So a v-groove detail is machined into the profile to make the joint pronounced.
The advantage of Morland’s system is that it is fully finished. A secret fix through the tongue of the board allows the profiles to be fitted without any decoration afterwards. The finish can be classic white or you can choose your own finish from our extensive range of wood grain and abstract effect decorations.
Available ex-stock as 195 x 9 x 3660 profiles in white.
